Sparks/Reno, Nev. – Jim Southard was recently hired as the Executive V.P. of Hotel Operations at John Ascuaga’s Nugget. He will be responsible for every aspect of the hotel, including front desk, bell desk, valet parking, business center, salon/spa and pool, concierge, housekeeping, laundry, reservations, PBX,  wardrobe and gift shop, among other areas of the operation.

Mr. Southard comes to the Nugget after nearly 10 years at the Las Vegas Hilton, where he most recently held the title of Executive Director of Hotel Operations. Prior to that, he spent many years at the Excalibur Hotel Casino in Las Vegas and Caesars Tahoe Resort in Lake Tahoe.

He is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration
