SEE MELLOW ALTERNATIVE ROCKERS COWBOY JUNKIES IN THE CELEBRITY SHOWROOM AT JOHN ASCUAGA'S NUGGET
Sparks/Reno, Nev. – The Cowboy Junkies exude the essence of sophisticated grooviness. Super mellow with super hooks, the band has delivered a series of memorably mellow hits. See the Cowboy Junkies, one night only, Friday, April 25, in the Celebrity Showroom at John Ascuaga’s Nugget.
The Cowboy Junkies are best known for their 1988 breakout The Trinity Sessions, recorded live on a single microphone at the Church of the Holy Trinity in downtown Toronto. This album included a cover of The Velvet Underground's and Lou Reed’s "Sweet Jane.” The comfortably haunting single was featured in the film “Natural Born Killers.” The band has since offered a couple of dozen albums and compilation works, culminating with the 2008’s Trinity Revisited, which catalogs the band’s return to the downtown Toronto church to once again attempt to capture lightning in a bottle and provides the song menu for the group’s current tour.
The Cowboy Junkies perform one night only, Friday, April 25, in the Celebrity Showroom at 8 p.m. Tickets are just $45 and are available by calling (800) 648-1177 or (775) 356-3300 or by visiting janugget.com. Dinner and show packages are available. “Do The Nugget Tonight!”
