SPARKS/RENO, NEV. – A $17-million floor-to-ceiling guest room renovation has been completed in the East Tower at John Ascuaga’s Nugget. Northern Nevada’s newest rooms are quality-constructed and beautifully accented. The complete interior remodel is “comfortably contemporary and soothingly sophisticated,” featuring modern lines, rich hues, plasma televisions, granite accents, marble flooring, luxury bedding, coffee pots and business-friendly accessories, including wireless high-speed internet access - all designed to compliment the breathtaking views of the surrounding Sierra Nevada mountains and High Desert landscape. The project began in October 2007 and was completed two floors at a time.

The Nugget is planning a month-long celebration of the renovation, beginning March 1. Activities include a website promotion through janugget.com, where guests can enter to win a one-night stay in a new room, with one room awarded daily during the entire month. Also, the whole community is encouraged to come view the rooms during an Open House, scheduled March 16-17, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Plus, at least 200 complimentary rooms will be included as instant-win prizes in the Nugget’s current, exciting and free-to-play casino-floor promotion, Quest for Cash.
