AMERICANA ZYDECO STARS LISA HALEY AND THE ZYDEKATS PLAY 'FAT FRIDAY' NIGHT AT JOHN ASCUAGA'S NUGGET
Sparks/Reno, Nev. – With her signature blue fiddle and fresh Grammy nomination in hand, Lisa Haley and her smokin'-hot band the Zydekats are tearing up the contemporary Cajun/Zydeco music scene. Catch them one night only, February 8, when a taste of Mardi Gras arrives in the Celebrity Showroom at John Ascuaga's Nugget.
Haley and the band picked up the coveted Grammy nomination for this year's King Cake, the sixth album in the group's career. Haley, known for blazing away on a bright blue fiddle, is a well-traveled and in-demand genre musician, having played with the likes of Sir George Martin (Beatles producer), multi-Grammy winner Keb Mo', Brian Setzer, and John Hiatt. Strong original songs and soulful violin attract the world to this fourth-generation "Fiddlist". The protégé of legendary Cajun accordionist Joe Simien, Haley is a descendant of Francis Scott Key and writer F. Scott Fitzgerald.
Lisa Haley and the Zydekats play one night, "Fat Friday" February 8, in the Celebrity Showroom at 8 p.m. Tickets are just $15 and are available by calling (800) 648-1177 or (775) 356-3300 or by visiting janugget.com. Dinner and show packages are available. "Do The Nugget Tonight!"
