46TH ANNUAL SHEEP DIP SET FOR JAN. 15-16 IN THE CELEBRITY SHOWROOM AT JOHN ASCUAGA'S NUGGET

Sparks/Reno, Nev. – Northern Nevada’s annual roast, Sheep Dip returns Friday and Saturday, January 15-16, to the Celebrity Showroom at John Ascuaga’s Nugget.

Now in its 46th installment, this hilarious production once again targets high-profile area leaders, events and occurrences. Local celebrities, community members and willing politicos work for months to develop and produce skits, songs and acts designed to poke good-natured fun at things that happened during the past year.

The name Sheep Dip is drawn from Nevada's early heritage of sheep herding in the Sierra Nevada . The show twists that meaning, “dipping” newsmakers in the satirical vat of Sheep Dip to cleanse them of their past deeds and allowing them, according to show organizers, the “freedom” to go right back and be foolish again!

This annual fundraiser show, dedicated to exposing the follies and foibles of the Truckee Meadows in an evening of skits, songs and dance, is performed by area locals (your neighbors) along with members of the media and even a few of our famous (and infamous) politicians. Together efforts go to raise funds that support charitable activities in the RENO/SPARKS and Greater Northern Nevada Area. Sheep Dip, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.
